Before the first use, it is advised to soak the bubbler for 2 hours, and the hose connected to the air pump should be plugged and unplugged more than 4 times to help the air bubbles become more uniform. If the water depth exceeds 1.3 feet (40 cm), a higher power air pump may be necessary.

For cleaning, it is suggested to clean the disc once a month, or more often if needed, to prevent holes from being blocked by algae and other impurities.
